Getting Here
The journey is part of the escape.
Whether flying or driving from your departure point, you’re sure to see many of the things that make Newfoundland so unique, such as the rugged coastlines, the untouched wilderness of Gros Morne National Park and the small communities along the shores.
Flying
The most common and convenient airport is located in Deer Lake, which is about a 4-½ hour drive to Mayflower Lodge. For flights into and out of Deer Lake airport, please visit Air Canada. The cost for pick-up and delivery at Deer Lake is $200.00 US per person round trip with a minimum of two hunters. However, many hunters rent a vehicle and drive to the lodge. Vehicle rentals also give you the freedom to view the rugged beauty of Newfoundland at your own pace. If you choose to rent a vehicle, we recommended that you reserve one as soon as possible.
The closest airport is St. Anthony airport, which is about a one-hour drive from Roddickton. Provincial Airlines has two flights per day flying into St. Anthony via St. John’s, Newfoundland. For reservations with Provincial Airlines please call 1-800-563-2800 or visit them online at www.provincialairlines.com. Airport pick-up is available from this location as well.
Driving
If you are driving, Roddickton can be accessed through the Viking Trail highway (route 430), then route 432 on the Grenfell Drive. Superferries operate from North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Port Aux Basques, Newfoundland with several departures each day. Reservations can be arranged by calling Marine Atlantic at 1-800-341-7981 or online at www.marine-atlantic.ca.
